The physiotherapy service at Trinity Fields is provided by a team of qualified physiotherapists and support staff, employed by Aneurin Bevan Health board and based at Caerphilly Children’s Centre.

Children referred to our service are assessed and then offered treatment as appropriate including dry land physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, rebound therapy and group sessions, depending on the individual needs of your child and family.

We devise individual therapy programmes which aim to suit your child’s needs and may take place at school and/or at home. The programmes will be delivered by either the physiotherapist, the support staff, the classroom staff and or the parent/carers. Typically this could include periods of physiotherapy intervention followed by periods of consolidation incorporating your child’s programme both at home and in the classroom. Assessment will be at appropriate intervals for your child’s needs to help him/her reach their full potential.

We are also involved with the orthotics service at the school and the provision of equipment such as standing frames, leg splints and walkers. We work closely with the class teams and other therapies and services and may also see your child in their home setting and the Children’s Centre.  Your child may well have a therapy programme for all carers and services involved to follow.

If you have any queries regarding our services, please do not hesitate to contact us at Trinity Fields School or at Caerphilly Children’s Centre at any time.
